Where Am I

I often feel like I should have a camera crew with me throughout life. I have been living w/my parents consistently since I graduated from high school. I attended college for 3 years and then ended up dropping out due to not knowing what I wanted to do in life and also because of money.

I wasn't really expecting to stay with them as long as I have. But here I am 26 years old. Watching the Disney channel with my parents. Eating garlic bread with no garlic (because mom doesn't like garlic) and chicken broccoli noodles and getting ready to leave for my second job.

The Kardashians pretty much still live with their parents but for some reason it isn't as glamorous here as it seems there. Maybe it's because I'm not Armenian or maybe its because I haven't created items that make my booty pop nor have I married or become engaged to a 6'8 man.

Anyway, this all sounds quite depressing; which is how I had looked at it for a very long time. Okay in reality I had been depressed about it probably up until about two hours ago when I decided that this is actually quite humorous and, could be put into blog form.

So tonight while my parents were watching "Wizards of Waverly Place" (for those of you that live in reality here is what that show is about http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0799922/ ) I began to wonder, "Do other people my age live like this anywhere? Will I always live with my parents? And why do I think the kid that is portraying a 16 year old on the TV show is very very attractive?"

So this will be mainly about adventures with them. Unfortunately, I'm not my brother (http://smallstepstowardstupid.wordpress.com/) so nothing I will write will include deep thought or meaningful discussion, or sound remotely intelligent. So if that's what you're looking for, I suggest you hop on your broomstick and fly out of here .

I really need to watch some 20/20 or something immediately.

For the record I love both my parents very much so none of this is to make fun of them or bash them. They are good respectable people who are a little nutty. But so are all of us. If anything I'll be making fun of myself most of all : )

So enjoy. Don't cry too much. Give me money if you feel lead to. Or perhaps free Grammar lessons because I'm awful at Grammar. I just had to use spell check to correct how I had spelled it too.

  1. Just wait til you have kids....who MAKE you watch Wizards of Waverly Place non-stop, 24 hours a day while you wait on those helpless schmucks every 10 minutes (only to finally sit down and someone spontanously nose bleeds all over your new carpet)....college or not, who can afford to replace carpet every year? In summary....the 20's are the best years of your life! I'm the boss around here now, but that really means nothing unless I withhold xbox and spongebob....the rest of the time, they just mock me (I let it go, mostly because I am too exhausted to beat them) :- )

  2. Omg it's like you're in my head because I too am 26 and live with my parents. Also, I find that same 16 year old attractive and I feel as if I will get locked up if I say it aloud. I convince myself he is legal so I don't feel like a pedophile.

  3. im 27 and i wished sometimes that i still lived with my parents. everything was easier when you had someone to tell you what to do, when you lived off their dime, when you don't have kids. man... i really wished i was 17 again. this adult stuff sucks. p.s. i hope my kids don't live with me until they are in their 20s. i'll prob be mean and kick them out. :(
